About the Role
Aoka is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
- Review contracts, timesheets, and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end close adjustments.
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and invoice disputes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Support external audits and provide required documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in invoicing and general ledger accounting required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000–$80,000 annually
